Daniel Miji Mujinga

I am working for the World Bank Social Fund in Angola for the last 13 years in different capacity. My current assignment is Regional Director responsible for the management of social and SMEs grant programmes to contribute to local development. My duties includes amongst others:

• Attended regular meetings to discuss and optimize strategies.
• Monitored staff performance by actively engaging in and observing day-to-day activities.
• Produced 1 report per month to analyze regional performance against organization goals.
• Trained and guided team members to maintain high productivity and performance metrics.
• Reported issues to higher management with great detail.
• Reduced operational risks while organizing data to forecast performance trends.
• Identified and qualified beneficiaries business development needs and negotiate and close profitable projects with high success rate.
• Visited sites periodically to view service levels and adherence to mission service standards.

My assignment as Central Local Development Specialist, was to designed, plane, organized procedure and training manual to develop local development strategies in alignment with the country and global development objectives. This includes:

• Developed short-term and long-term strategic plans to meet local government development and service delivery objectives.
• Offered specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
• Identified training needs and developed content while evaluating existing programs.
• Identified investment opportunities, threats and challenges to accurately forecast local government investment.
• Completed and submitted yearly reports to support executive decision making.

As National Coordinator for Programmes, my assignment is to ensure project portfolio growth and quality to ensure the organization financial sustainability and implementation of organization mission and goals in alignment with the organization standard procures and the country priorities. This included precisely:

• Set priorities and problem-solved workflow issues to maintain rapport with beneficiaries, partners and managers.
• Gathered and organized materials to support operations.
• Participated in workshops and in-service meetings to enhance personal growth and professional development.
• Evaluated operational practices and identified improvement opportunities to develop revisions for systems and procedures.
• Collected, arranged, and input information into database system.
• Evaluated staff performance and provided orientation and training to address inefficiencies.
• Conducted regular reviews of operations and identified areas for improvement.
• Developed and updated tracking spreadsheets for process monitoring and reporting.
