- At Sonamet I am an electrician technician who supervises a team of 15 electricians that work on several projects simultaneously.
- Sonamet has become one of the largest offshore construction companies in the region. We work hand in hand with many companies such as Subsea7, Total Energie, and Chevron.
- One of my most important projects here at Sonamet was the creation of a Spool Base where I was able to work with subcontractors who came to install their equipment with the help of Sonamet electricians under my supervision. After the construction of the Spool Base, I stayed on the project to be the maintenance technician for the Spool base. At the Spool base, I worked hand in hand with Subsea 7 who used the spool base to create a pipeline that is then shipped and used at various locations on the sea bed.
- I work with the software AUTOCAD to plan out the cable layout of each building here at Sonamet.
- I also work daily with various electrical software like, Rapsody, E design, and Ecodial to design electrical panels and then to deliver quotes on various projects.
- Repaired and replaced wiring and electrical components, ensuring compliance with electrical codes.
- Supervised and evaluated installation and repair of lights and power in buildings and facilities.
- Developed comprehensive maintenance plans to minimize equipment failures and reduce operational costs.
