COVID-19 Vaccination Rollout

• Provide technical assistance for the periodic review and update of the National Deployment and Vaccination Plan (NDVP) and budget
• Provide support to update micro plans with a focus on strategies to reach high-priority population groups
• Provide technical assistance for the review of COVID-19 vaccination performance and identify low-performing areas for targeted support
• Engage the government to adapt high-impact vaccine delivery strategies to increase COVID-19 vaccination coverage
• Provide support to build the capacity of health workers including the revision/update of training materials
• Conduct supportive supervision of regions/provinces and districts focusing on low-performing areas and provide guidance
• Provide guidance for the monitoring of COVID-19 vaccine implementation including intra-action reviews (IAR) and COVID-19 post-introduction evaluation (c-PIEs)
• Document lessons learned and best practices
• Provide support to ensure regular updates of the country profile online template
• Any other activity assigned by the WR, in-country supervisors, and AFRO.

Malaria Case Management at Community level - Health For All (HFA) – USAID/PMI funded project

Ensure good relationship and coordination with those responsible for the implementation of ADECOS in MAT and MINSA

• Prepare requisitions of equipment (smartphones, bicycles, etc.) and supplies (family notebooks, gloves, ASAQ, TDRs, thermometers, etc.) for the performance of ADECOS
• Prepare a distribution plan and appropriate use of equipment and supplies delivered by Health for All (HFA) project for the performance of ADECOS
• Coordinate and technically assist HFA Monitoring and Evaluation Team to collect information on the services provided by ADECOS at community level

• Coordinate the implementation of the National Policy for Community Development and Health Agents (ADECOS) - PNADECOS in coordination with NMCP and FAS/MAT

• Support malaria team (OPM) in the preparation and during the training of provincial and municipal trainers in the areas of malaria case management and malaria in pregnancy
• Support the malaria team (OPM) in the programming and execution of monitoring and supervision visits to providers in 6 PMI provinces.

Municipalization of Health Services - Angolan MOH project funded by European Union

• My roles and responsibilities consist of providing support to the health municipal team on the implementation of 8-targeted components of the project.
• These include (i) planning and budgeting; (ii) data gathering of health services and mapping; (iii) dissemination of heath regulation; (iv) routine data quality assurance; (v) periodic report writing; (vi) co-ordination with partners; (vii) improvement of integrated supervision; and (viii) reporting and audit of maternal and infant deaths.

Yellow Fever Outbreak Response / vaccination

• Provide technical assistance in Yellow Fever campaign micro planning in Huila (Quipungo, Caconda, and Lubango) and Benguela.
• Conduct regular monitoring and supervision of the campaign activities in targeted municipalities.
• Work with Municipal Health Departments and provide technical guidance in planning, supervising and monitoring all mosquito control and environmental sanitation activities at community level.
• Participate in YF campaign coordination meetings at the national, provincial level and targeted municipalities.
• Participate in YF prevention coordination meeting in UNICEF with communication section.
• Reporting weekly monitoring and supervisory reports available and shared daily and weekly.

Municipal Health System Strengthening

• Collect and organize health data in municipalities of Luanda and Bie provinces,
• Support the Senior Consultant for the development of the Municipal Plan of Health Development (PMDS) of 5 municipalities: Belas, Quissama, Kuito, Kunhinga, Camacupa, Nharea.

Strengthening Capacity of Malaria Program in 3 provinces: Bié, Cuando Cubango and Lunda Norte

• Coordinate the implementation of Malaria National Control Program activities at provincial and municipal levels.
• Provide support in the preparation of work plans, budgets, Monitoring and Evaluation plans;
• Coordinate the implementation of Malaria PNCM/Global Fund activities with the Provincial Program Supervisor in charge of Malaria control and other relevant stakeholders;
• Provide support for the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) at National, Regional and community levels of Malaria Global Fund activities under the National Treasury, Principal recipient;
• Work closely with the provincial malaria supervisor and the municipal malaria focal persons, and ensure timeliness, completeness and quality of reports submitted to PNCM/Global Fund;
• Plan and participate in the field visits for data verification and support supervision;
• Train and support the provincial and municipal malaria team on data entering and analysis from malaria program database;
• Provide necessary support and coordinate preparation of Malaria program monthly, quarterly, and annual reports;
• Support of provincial malaria team on preparation and facilitation of malaria trainings at provincial and municipal levels;
• Develop training modules for Malaria municipal focal persons on supervision activities;
• Attend national, provincial, and cross borders Malaria meetings, and cross borders Malaria meetings;
• Provide support to the provincial and municipal malaria program teams during the LLINs distribution Campaign in Lunda Norte province.

Strengthening Angolan Health Services (SASH) Project ForçaSaúde

• Provide technical assistance in the municipality in close coordination with the head of the Municipal Directorate of Health (DMS)
• Collaborate closely with the DMS, ForçaSaude Team Leaders and Coordinators of Family Planning (FP), Malaria and HIV/AIDS to ensure quality in the design and implementation of municipal-level health activities;
• Provide support to DMS Coordinators of Malaria, FP and HIV to prepare and share monthly reports to Provincial Directorate of Health (DPS).
• Provide technical assistance to ensure project data collection, storage and data sharing to all levels as required;
• Participate actively in-job training team on FP, Malaria and HIV/AIDS.
• Provide technical support to DMS in the annual health planning and budgeting process;
• Provide support to provincial and municipal departments in strengthening leadership, management and HR competencies including the use of health data
• Strengthening capacity of district and municipal health teams of Luanda through workshops on Annual budget planning;
• Facilitating the process of health information data collection at district or municipal levels;
• Coaching other project municipal coordinators in achievement of tasks;
• Facilitate workshops on elaboration of municipal health budgeted plans;

• Carry out a Health facility mapping to collect information on services, infrastructures, staff and equipment.
• Training Municipal Health Departments on annual planning process, on HIV/AIDS, Malaria e Family planning i.e., Implantation of “Jadelle” in some health facilities in Luanda and Huambo.

• Lead and carrying out a rapid assessment in the field

• Carry out a rapid assessment on Public Health situation;

Cholera response

• Build Oxfam GB´s Partner capacity in Public Health Promotion in relation to cholera prevention during cholera outbreak in Mozambique I was deployed in Mozambique (Chimoio) as PHP Specialist from Southern Africa Emergency Response Team
• Report on daily basis to Oxfam Country Office (Maputo) and Region (South Africa) as well.

Cholera response in 2 provinces Cunene and Benguela

1) Province of Cunene

• Public Health Promotion (PHP), Cholera response in 2 provinces Cunene and Benguela

• Carrying out a rapid assessment on PH situation

• Training 50 Red Cross and Government Health Promoters on Public Health Promotion in the context of floods emergency;

2) Province of Benguela

• Train 60 volunteers on hygiene promotion;
• Orient and train 3 new PHPs in Oxfam ways of working and Hygiene Promotion;
• Develop an action plan for the PH team with clear roles and responsibilities, and time frame;
• Train the volunteers and PHP in the use of the Household Monitoring Form;
• In collaboration with the logistician develop the distribution plan;
• Support the team to ensure that 2,000 families are selected for hygiene kit distribution – ensuring that the process is participatory and consultative with partners and beneficiaries;
• Support the team to conduct post distribution monitoring.

Flood Response Project in Mutarara (Mozambique)

• Carry out a rapid assessment and collect data regarding health, water, sanitation, nutrition, food security, shelter, human rights, woman and child protection, etc
• Reporting all the information collected to the Team Leader;
• Assess the needs and provide inputs and support the Team Leader in writing the Concept Notes;
• Plan and co-ordinate PHP activities;
• Lead meetings with Health Promoters and Volunteers of Mozambique Red Cross
• Set up a Public Health Promotion Action Plan.

Peri Urban Sanitation Project in Grafanil, Cazenga, Luanda (Angola)

• Assist public health promotion team in collection, analysis and reporting information of Base Line Evaluation and make sure that the information is shared with community and used for health promotion implementation planning.
• Provide capacity building for the team on subjects of health promotion using participatory methodologies and appropriate resources for different situations and groups (adults, young people, and children). Assess actively other needs in terms of team capacity.
• Coordinate activities with local leaders and other institutions and key persons in the community and ensuring effective communication and positive relationship from the side of Oxfam team.
• Organizing and supporting trainings of community mobilisers and promoting their encouragement/motivation from health promoters during accomplishment of health promotion activities in community.
• Making sure that selection criteria of beneficiaries for latrines construction are implemented and community participation strategy is respected.
• Representing Oxfam during health coordination meetings and other meetings up to PHP Coordinator orientations.
• Supporting health promoters during elaboration of performance objectives and their review according to the plan.
• Being sure that there is integration of HIV/AIDS and Gender in programmed activities and also its monitoring and document of information.

Medical Aid Project in Buengas and Makokola,

• Conduct health promotion activities related to disease prevention awareness, especially about TB within the Health Centres, funded by Médecins Sans Frontières
• Carry out in outreach areas awareness activities about the most frequent diseases (TB, malaria, Trypanosomiasis), and the use of available public health care services.

Cholera Response in the province of Luanda

• Supervising the work of hygiene promoters in CTCs and CTUs;
• Be confident that Community IEC Activists are carrying out activities of awareness in the community as planned together with Hygiene Promoter (IEC);
