She was distinguished with the Merit and Excellence Award from ZAP TV, at the October 2020 ZAP Globes gala, for her unceasing efforts in supporting children with special needs in extreme poverty. This award is the only prize that is not chosen by the public and is granted to individuals who have set very high standards in their fields.
In 2018, she participates in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), of the United States Embassy, on the topic "Fiscal Transparency" and, in 2019, in The Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa program, as The Obama Foundation Leader Africa: Luanda. She has thus the opportunity to take on new challenges, experiencing creative and value-driven approaches to problem-solving, exploring personal stories as a means to support and enhance her leadership, or learning and improving different NGO management or storytelling skills, always in pursuit of a more inclusive vision. She then integrates the WIA54 Africa 2020 program, within the Women In Africa (WIA) Initiative, which is the first international platform for economic development and support for African women in leadership and of high potential. It is a platform that also contributes to the promotion of a new generation of African women who are creating inspiring leadership to change the future of the continent positively. This is a cause very close to Paula’s heart and to which she pays special attention.
