Assigned to the Isotope Laboratory, in the Isotope Hydrology unit lab as Geologist, in the Radiometric techniques as technician in Residence Time Distribution - Column Scanning Techniques and RPO, collaborating with the Material quality’s unit lab as NDT Inspector level 1 in MT, PT, UT, and RT Techniques, with the Mechatronics laboratory as Web & Graphic Designer, fulfilling the following tasks:

• Assist in radiometric analysis using techniques such as gamma spectrometry in Radiometric Techniques lab. Contribute to sample preparation, instrument calibration, data processing, and quality control procedures.
• As Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) and HSE Technician, responsible for maintaining radiation safety and fostering secure workplace, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, delivering training, overseeing incident investigations, and ensuring regulatory compliance through policy development and documentation.
• Contributing to water resource studies through geological sampling, isotopic analysis, hydrogeological mapping, and environmental monitoring to assess water quality and quantity changes. This involves analyzing water sources, conducting isotopic analysis, interpreting data, mapping water distribution, and developing groundwater flow models.
• Participate in non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using techniques like MT, PT, UT, and RT in Materials Quality lab, and providing training as instructor in UT and radiation protection.
• Provide support to ongoing research projects across CNIC’s laboratories by conducting experiments, literature reviews, data collection, and analysis and interpretation, including organizing meetings, managing project timelines and deliverables, and coordinating communication among team members, contributing to writing and documentation of research findings, including drafting research reports, presentations, or academic papers for publication or presentation at conferences, under the supervision of senior researchers.
• Apply expertise as Nuclear Safeguards Inspector trained by IAEA to support research projects related to nuclear security and collaborating with regulatory authorities such as Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority (AREA) of Angola.
  • Serve as Principal User at the National Data Center (NDC), designated by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) by accessing and analyzing data from the International Monitoring System (IMS) to detect and monitor nuclear test activities worldwide.
• Engage in training opportunities, workshops, and seminars to enhance research skills, technical knowledge, and professional competencies. Take initiative in self-directed learning and skill development to contribute effectively to research objectives and career advancement.

1. As Vice-President:

1.1. Internal Relationships:

• Underwent comprehensive training and development programs to acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to become a qualified Nuclear Safeguards Inspector.
• Participated in theoretical and practical training activities covering various aspects of nuclear safeguards, including legal frameworks, inspection methodologies, verification techniques, and analytical tools.
• Learnt to conduct inspections and verifications of nuclear facilities and sites in accordance with international safeguards agreements, protocols, and regulations.
• Gained proficiency in using safeguard technologies, equipment, and software tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting purposes.

1. Working as Geologist in the Isotope Hydrology laboratory:

• Conduct isotopic analysis of water samples collected from various sources, including groundwater, surface water, and precipitation, using state-of-the-art analytical techniques and equipment.
• Collaborate with hydrologists, geologists, and other stakeholders to design and implement field sampling campaigns to assess water resources, hydrological processes, and water cycle dynamics.
• Perform data interpretation and analysis to evaluate groundwater recharge, flow patterns, residence times, and interactions between surface water and groundwater systems.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of isotopic hydrology methodologies, protocols, and standards to improve the accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
• Prepare technical reports, scientific publications, and presentations summarizing research findings, methodology developments, and hydrological assessments for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to colleagues, partners, and clients on isotopic hydrology techniques, applications, and data interpretation.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure compliance with quality assurance and quality control procedures, and adhere to safety protocols and regulations.

2. Collaboration in the IT Lab as Web & Graphic Designer.

3. National Data Center (NDC) Staff Member related to the CTBTO.

• Conceptualizing creative ideas with clients;
• Testing and improving the design of the websites;
• Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices;
• Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards;
• Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients;

• Assigned to the Isotope Hydrology lab as Geologist, and collaborating with the IT lab as Graphic Designer, fulfilling the following tasks:
• Collecting geological samples from various water sources such as rivers, lakes, groundwater, and precipitation for isotopic analysis.
• Participating in isotopic analysis of water samples to determine their origin, and characteristics.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of scientists, hydrologists, geochemists, and water resource managers to integrate geological and isotopic data into comprehensive water management plans.
• Collaborating with the IT lab in providing web and graphic design support, creating visual assets, designing user interfaces, develop multimedia content, presentations, and promotional materials to communicate research findings and engage stakeholders.
• Serve a National Data Center (NDC) staff member, designated by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), participating in different activities related to the installation implementation of the NDC in Angola and in the fulfillment its requirements as a Member State.

1. As a Geologist:

• Participated in geological surveys and mapping in LOTSHI block to identify potential hydrocarbon reservoirs and geological structures.
• Assisted in the environmental impact assessment and ensured compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Analyzed geological data from seismic surveys, well logs, and core samples to assess geological characteristics and potential.

2. As the Personal Assistant of the DG:

• Accompanied the DG in the organization and the development of training modules and seminars as Professor in the University of Kinshasa.
• Assisted in the mentoring of dissertations and thesis of students of the University of Kinshasa - DRC;
• Assist and collaborate with the Director General in the writing of scientific publications (books and articles).
