Assigned to the Isotope Laboratory, in the Isotope Hydrology unit lab as Geologist, in the Radiometric techniques as technician in Residence Time Distribution - Column Scanning Techniques and RPO, collaborating with the Material quality’s unit lab as NDT Inspector level 1 in MT, PT, UT, and RT Techniques, with the Mechatronics laboratory as Web & Graphic Designer, fulfilling the following tasks:

  • Assist in radiometric analysis using techniques such as gamma spectrometry in Radiometric Techniques lab. Contribute to sample preparation, instrument calibration, data processing, and quality control procedures.
  • As Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) and HSE Technician, responsible for maintaining radiation safety and fostering secure workplace, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, delivering training, overseeing incident investigations, and ensuring regulatory compliance through policy development and documentation.
  • Contributing to water resource studies through geological sampling, isotopic analysis, hydrogeological mapping, and environmental monitoring to assess water quality and quantity changes. This involves analyzing water sources, conducting isotopic analysis, interpreting data, mapping water distribution, and developing groundwater flow models.
  • Participate in non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using techniques like MT, PT, UT, and RT in Materials Quality lab, and providing training as instructor in UT and radiation protection.
  • Provide support to ongoing research projects across CNIC’s laboratories by conducting experiments, literature reviews, data collection, and analysis and interpretation, including organizing meetings, managing project timelines and deliverables, and coordinating communication among team members, contributing to writing and documentation of research findings, including drafting research reports, presentations, or academic papers for publication or presentation at conferences, under the supervision of senior researchers.
  • Apply expertise as Nuclear Safeguards Inspector trained by IAEA to support research projects related to nuclear security and collaborating with regulatory authorities such as Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority (AREA) of Angola.
    • Serve as Principal User at the National Data Center (NDC), designated by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) by accessing and analyzing data from the International Monitoring System (IMS) to detect and monitor nuclear test activities worldwide.
